03 Intake tube 1 13711743320

so I got my E36 back from its box rebuild and now gotta take it to the panelbeaters for some theft claims (beading :( ) and minor door scratches, but today I ruffled around a lil after finding a leaky clamp which needed replacement..then stumbled upon part '3' in the above diagram..my intake tube is in dire need of help as the sponge over the coil is torn and broken all over..gave the stealers a ring and they want around 800 bucks for it..wanted to know if theres a way to repair it as the two ends are fine..just the spongy hose in the middle looks like a dog chewed it....?...or if anyone has a good condition one they willing to sell..thanx :ty:

That looks like a 318iS aircleaner intake. I have removed the one on my 318iS and blocked off the inlet on the aircleaner housing and made a hole in the housing on the side facing the grille. Then removed the fitting that clips onto the section behind the grille and modified the plastic ducting to make it fit the new hole in the aircleaner. My theory was to get a more direct airflow into the aircleaner housing. So i have that pipe no 3 lying around here but the end where it has the clamp is also slightly torn, which isn't a crisis as it is just a duct for the air to the airfilter housing.
