For a BMW fan I really can't understand why I love AUDIs this much. I honestly thought this was it... this was my chance to get into a BMW and I had my eyes set on a E90 3er either petrol or diesel but this car just crept put of nowhere and now its in my garage...

2013 AUDI A4 1.8T
102xxx KMs
Auto
Have no idea what this color is called but insurance paper says silver so its silver. Audi has a habit of renaming colors to whatever they think sounds better for marketing purposes.

Picked it up on Saturday and took a quick drive to Harties and she was not bad at all. Its a rather comfortable cruiser as opposed the A3 which was more alive with that diesel torque. There won't be any mods on her until the end of the year as I am preparing to pay lobolas so no money for go fast bits.... at present.

All in all she is not bad at all, really loving that color

A pic or two

Congrats bud, how many Kms have you done with it so far? Might have to invest in an oil refinery soon.

So far done just about 350kms... I am really looking at that oil level even though Audi resolved that issue in 2012 with these face lifts but can't trust VW Group.

Congrats bud, they not bad cars at all and super comfy, that is a B8.5 so with the oil consumption you should be in the clear.

Thank you very much Gentleman

@Iceman12596 and @subloaded How do you connect your mobile device to the car's bluetooth? I can't figure it out at all. Managed to get to the Bluetooth PIN so I am guessing that is something..

Default pin is 0000 should be called Car BT or something long those lines

Congrats, I had a 2013 A4 as well, nice car, very comfy.

The bluetooth connection was straight forward, the pin is either 0000 or 1234. It does show up during connection and you would just need to confirm.

I had the car for 3-4 years and no oil issues. Pretty solid car, no rattles etc

I had a manual, went well, decent power (especially mapped). Just don't try and launch it or change too hard :fencelook:

My 2010 B8 1.8T manual was better built and better finished than my 2017 F30.

However, I don't miss the oil consumption issue (your B8.5 should be fine).

Coolant bottle cracks seem to be common on this model (a few mates had this issue), so rather check coolant regularly.

No other big issues really.

Just check the timing chain and CVT at the next service.

The CVT does drone a bit, that is why I chose the manual back in 2010. But, if you adjust your driving style, it should be a comfortable cruiser.

Congrats!

Im also looking for one of these.

These have the Gen 3 1.8tfsi engine, which is actually the smae engine as the Facelift polo GTI. very reliable and tuneable engines.

Manual even better, no need to worry about the very unreliable Multitronic boxes.

did anyone find the clutch pedal to close the foot rest? i kept cliping it with every time i pushed in the clutch.

super quiet ride, the audio system is very good.

many happy miles :bravo:

Finally figured it out, it was changed from those defaults to another random number. Now I have also doscovered that it only does phone calls and can't stream music from my phone... think I will just get an SD card to sort that problem out

Wanted a manual as well but this one just spoke to me in a way I can't even explain. Fingers crossed I get no issues. Does take some time to get used to these CVT boxes because unlike the stronic. This feels like its always in neutral and when you pull off from a stop I have to let it crawl before I put my foot on the accelerator otherwise it builds revs then gives you like a 3 -5 seconds delay before it starts moving.

Got it booked for next week at a mechanic just to make sure all is good. They serviced the car before I picked it up but knowing stealerships they probably didn't change filters

It is quit nippy for its size when I put it in S or Manual... The audio is amazing. I have AUDI concert, has many many speakers and options to make it even louder. Makes some descent bass too

Wait until you reverse on a decline and the car actually moves forward...

Congrats mate , they are nice looking cars and drive very smooth . Like you said also quite nippy for its size. Not to bad on the consumption if you drive it easy.
