Another vibration

Hey guys, it's me again. With yet another vibration problem. This was the original problem on the car before the propshaft problem. Okay, this vibration is felt on the steering wheel, comes from say 40kph and up. It's not a persistent vibration as I can drive 100kph on one day with no problems at all and the next day I can't even drive 50kph. But when this happens there is also like a sqeeky brake sound coming from the front right which goes away when I apply brake. The vibration is still there though. It's like sqeek sqeek sqeek as the wheel is turning. I have changed the front ball joints, bushes, other tyres, rims and had balancing and wheel alignment done. Any ideas as to what th problem can be.

Okay, but if it where the discs would'nt it then be a persistent vibration? This is a very random vibration.

Could be getting worse at the discs heat up, which may explain why it's not persistent

Maybe jack up one front wheel at a time and see if it spins freely. You might be able to spot if the disc is warped (if this is the problem) as you move it around ...

However, I'm just taking a guess as you seemed to have covered most of the other common elements.

Yes I also have the sqeek sqeek sqeek at front left. The Tazz also have it. I thought maybe the wheel hub is buckled a bit. I also had a vibration when driving say over 60km/h and up and going around a turn. There would be a vibration. It turned out to be front left lower balljoint.

its probably time you changed all the rubbers on your car... it will eliminate most of these sorts of things... if you dont you will be chasing one noise after the next...

i would only replace the brakes if they are low or if the vibration got very bad seeing as they are a ware item anyway...

Thank you to everyone :praise: for the advice on all the threads that I started, it is really much appreciated. Will send Freerider a PM with reagards to discs and have the rubbers replaced as soon as I get the car back from the macki.

And here we go again, the vibration now seems to go away as I turn, swerve or go around a bend. Any ideas pls?

Also, hub lock nut. Sould it be torqued to 290nm?
