Well its been a long time since I posted here, other then the service, fan delete mod, front brake pads changed and a brand spanking new AFM, this is what happened so far this year....

Beginning of the year I picked up these, but not sure if its OEM or reps, maybe the experts here can tell if they are...

Do you sit in bumper to bumper traffic ? If so those figures should be about right. My trip to Durbs/Pennington from Pta showed figures of 6.6l/100km and return with 7.0l/100km with a faulty AFM and ICV...

M3 wheels looks OEM to me. from the 2 doors. The reps only usually have the motorspot engraving

Cool thanks man, I wasn't sure because didn't see a bmw stamp behind the rim unless e36 coupe M3 rims never came with bmw stamps...

Man, this brings back some memories!

I had one of these in this very same color. Mine was stock standard, though.

It was _the_ car to have back in the day. In these days of the 335i doing 12 second quarter miles it is a bit slow, but back then it was seriously fast.

I can remember the boy racers who would zoom past me driving the way that boy racers drive. When I pulled in beside them at the next robot they would start driving like Granny, only slower. Just took one look at the 328i badge and the twin tail pipes and it was no dice, literally.

In the time I had it, I never figured out what the top speed was. It was still pulling hard with a very big number on the speedo. I would rather not elaborate any more.

And this car will continue going to Gizmo only for services & maintenance, it's a pleasure seeing him work on my E36.

Very nice car, but I can't help noticing the missing bolt covers on the engine. No doubt Gizmo was still going to put them back when you took the pic.

What a great example of an E36, do you have any pics with the other wheels fitted?

Thanks bud  are you Mnce from the Vw club forum ?

Unfortunately I only have pics of M5 reps & current mags on the car which I ended up buckling the right front rim this morning after hitting a massive pothole  Never took pics but tomorrow I'm off to a mag repair centre where I might strike a deal to sell both rims & tyres...

Thanks, as Gizmo said there weren't any to begin with by the time I started taking it to him. It was there when I bought the car & after one or was it two  visits at a dealership, it went missing along with the new FCAB's which I paid for & was never fitted.

This was the outcome after hitting that massive pothole...

All 4 rims buckled & right front rim bent, right front tyre shredded into pieces & right rear tyre had a deep cut & bubble on the sidewall.

Decided to change all four tyres & rims but needed to be done ASAP, I was looking for Continental SC 3's but nobody could get the correct size this year within my region so Mr Thags Govender from the Twincam Club hooked a brother up :)

Compared to Conti's, these Yokohama S Drive AS01 are a bit harsh and a lot bouncy, maybe it needs time to settle in. Handling wise its good but the Conti's are way superior on hot and dry conditions, will see how it handles in the wet where the Conti's are terrible. One thing I really dislike about these S drive is it looks like friggen tractor tyres :hammerhead:
