There is a gap but not a train smash buddy, its punishment for putting sound in the cab...LOL. Wonder if the cubbie thing is curable on the E36 as i came across no 1 who cud solve this issue after removing it!

LoL my father told me the same thing, its the sound that broke it :lmoa:

I've tried almost everything, put in a new spring & button, nothing helps. Thinking of swaping it for a complete new unit.

So I've been searching high & low for contours & came up with nothing :( Decided to rather have the M5 reps refurbished & on Monday I got my merchandise back from Hi Tech Mag Repairs :)

So far I'm quite impressed with their work, rims are looking awesome but theres one problem, it didn't come back the same colour as it went in. As far as I know, original e39 M5 rims were shadow chrome coated that had a mirror like finish. At present the rims looks like satin silver :mmm: but tomorrow somebody from Hi Tech is coming to meet me to have it checked out...

yes originals do look different. it is quite the bitch to spray I have heard as it needs different undercoats and that has to be baked before the top layer can go on.

I would say put one of the wheels on the car first and see what is looks like, maybe you will like the new colour.

You read my mind Sank :) I'm having second thoughts about the colour now, think I might stick with what I have....

Wow its been more then a year since I last posted here :mmm:

I left my car with Gizmo for a few days to sort out a list of things like radiator, handbrake, gearbox oil, diff oil, throttle cable, power steering pipes and control arms to name a few. With regards to control arms and poly bushes supplied by Moranor, the ride is slightly firmer but hardly noticable and the handling is a lot stiffer.

Its now more then 2 weeks since I got my car back from Gizmo and theres not a single drop of oil in the garage, he did an excellent job and the best part he didnt charge an arm or a leg :thumb: Next on my list to do things is thermostat, viscous fan and ICV.

I would like to thank Moranor and Gizmo for their excellent service and advice and would recommend them to anyone on the forum....

Thanks guys

PS: how do I upload pics bigger then 5mb ? My S4 takes high res pics....
