Hey Guys,

Sadly I got 3000km's left before my MP expires for good. I got a E90 2006 320D Auto Msport, the turbo is currently being changed as it is with the stealers, I have heard of warranties I can take incase something major goes wrong, If anyone has taken this, please can you advise which is the best to take out for my car,

Thanks

You can extend your MP..find out from your bmw dealership. If you cant then inquire from Hollard about their parts warranties.

If you got the money extend with BMW. If not just save money every month in case something does go wrong.

Aftermarket warranties are crap and you will have endless headaches.

If you do a search you will find lots of topics on this:thumbs:

If you really want an aftermarket one look at Hollard Motor Xtender Cruise and Maxi options.

but still think its a waste of money.

If your MP is still active, you can go with Motorites Maintenance Plan. Not the warranty.

The maintenance plan is pretty comprehensive, and unlike their warranties, they don't give you shit and pay out.

+1000

I'm with SA Warranties & even though they did pay for my powersteering pump, there were other things they never pay for. Waste of time & money....

Think he might have extended it already, seeing as its a 2006 model. So on year 7 now.

I say rather keep a kitty and save that money you would pay on a aftermarket maintenance plan, and use non dealership places like Ros Duncan, or gizmo, or Tune tech

I had one of these added on with my car when I bought it (the dealer had it added). Looking through the book, the cover on parts was so minimal. I don't recall the plan being that expensive, but it's a couple of grand that you could just save instead.

Would be interested to see how much Hollard cover.

Just out of curiosity, how much is a realistic amount to keep aside if one were to forego a maintenance extension in any form? R25 000?
