advise and sad day.

Hi guys. Hope everyone is good.

Its a sad day for me today. My car is going in for panelbeating. Gonna miss it for 6 days.

On the advise since the car is being re rpayed I have been pondering on an idea. I want to spray the roof and booth spoiler black. A glossy metallic black like the cars on the bmwfanatics landing page. What do you think. Should I do it.

I've personally never liked the look of a black roof, unless it's glass or carbon (a la M3). Looks a bit artificial otherwise.

I just think it looks really sexy. But on red. Mine is blue so not sure. I want to do it. But don't want my car to end up looking like a joke.

Imagine a 19inch narrow and wide dish mag later also. Splitters black also.

Is the whole car going to be resprayed? Are they going to be respraying the sections you want black regardless?

If you like the look and plan to keep the car until it dies, and cannot foresee any situation you might have to sell the car, financial or whatever it be. Then do it.

If however that is not the case. And you will be selling the car someday. Why not have it wrapped? That way you can remove it for the sale.

Just a suggestion.

I don't like carbon fibre. Wrapping. But everyone family and friends all replied No. So no it is.

So now. Not even the mirrors and spoiler. Must I just leave it the way it is.

Wrap it. If u do it professionally it comes out really nicely. It doesn't have to be carbon....u shud be able to get a gloss black. And wrapping doesn't hurt the paint.....or Plastidip it

Think about resale too, doing something like that MAY make the car harder to sell at some point vs a standard paint job... Just my 2c

if you have to, consider wrap, or plastidip with glossifier. Paint is too permanent and i know how you can change your mind bro.:rollsmile:

oh ya, okay cool..i say stick with what i did, leave the mirrors and roof alone...let your car keep its 'air about itself' if you know what i mean ha ha

Thanks. I listened to u guys. I left it orignal.
I went and saw it monday was sad car was stripped and they were welding and cutting and stuff. Didn't got see it again.

Was a real sad week. Can't wait to see it tomorrow.
Will be looking at wrapping the booth spoiler and splitters when I get some more money.

Will post some pics when I collet the car.
