Well a fairly good price. But wish he put some pics up of the interior. Finding the minor cosmetic thing a bit suspicious.

Agreed yes. I see his wife taking pics but particularly of the left front side of the vehicle. I am supposing that that is where the fault lies. Nevertheless just in love with the 540i e39 MANUAL 6SPEED!!!!

No zender bodykit?

Doubt this is a factory built manual.

Could be an auto to manual swap.

I don't think they all came with it. Where's Gregmeister when you need him.

Present! I tend to agree with Jadre on this one. The 6 Speed did come out in normal body trim in Europe and the US and as far as I can tell the M-Sport trim was only released in the States in 2003 as a limited edition. In SA it seems the pre-facelift ones (1997-2000) came out with the Zender kit, not sure about the rest of the world, but it is therefore strange to see a 6 Speed with normal trim here. Best would be to check the VIN code. It will state whether the car is indeed a factory built manual or not. From what I can tell they all came out with the M-Sport Suspension pack I or II and M-Sport/ Individual interior trimming and wheels. But again the VIN should reveal that if you get an options-list printout from the dealer. If it is a factory manual, dispite the lack of Zender kit, I would call this worth a look at least. Mileage is a bit high, so a full service history would be something I would want here.

I agree with Greg and Jandre... back in '07, my dad was keen on a '99 540iM 6speed. It was Avus Blue, and had the Zender bodykit... AFAIK, SA never received the 540iM in non-kitted format, as our models were all MSport versions.
