That's a lot of owners! Certainly *looks* pretty good, apart from the clutch pedal rubber, but that's easy to fix. Wish I had more garage space.

This was Arthur's (bmwforlife) E39 540iM - very nice car but, apparently the aircon is not working, the engine block was recently repaired (welded) due to a crack, but it did have a new clutch fitted recently by SMG while Arthur had the car.

the ad is gone so cant see, but where was the car being sold?
im picking up my 540i/6spd this weekend and the aircon doesn't work, and is a 99model and has a newish clutch, so just trying to see if its the same car because i dont like the sound of a welded engine..

im in cape town and buying the car in cape town
i never saw m3 eater in the ad when i was buying it...

wonder if its the same car.?

Zabbos M3 ran very close with a certain blue 540i 6. Owner is on the forum and can choose to comment if he so wishes.

Couple of youtjoob vids show fairly close runs....

So... plausible? Yes. I wouldn't tell you to kill yourself though
