335 with only chip & DP's. On pump nogal. Special one this is. Made a new map to optimise the advantages the 76mm DP's give & it made 356hp at KAR (265kw). The graft is against a the strongest bone stock 335 ever dyno'd at KAR. 279hp with is 208kw. So it's our special car against the strongest stocker tested. Quite a massive difference there, 335 is teh tuna's dream. There's like a 75 wheel hp difference at high rpm.

sherwin, i had another look at the graph and a few things stand out:

1. The power delivery of the tune is astoundingly smooth...
2. The power is unleashed, where it matters most 3500rpms - 5500rpms...i am glad you did not treat the 335 as if it is a high revving M3...good call :thinker:
3. The Xcede and JB achieve the same goal but very differently...i realise it is nonsensical to compare the two tunes based on the above graph...but i was looking at my own graphs with tune & Dps only and the JB has a linearized Kw & Nm curve...power does not build to a cresendo like the above but is linearic from 3000rpm...very interesting indeed

Hey there Sherwin@xcede! Congratulations on your achievement!!

In response to Twinz@Rennzports' comment, Please note that, some tuners limit peak torque to reduce the possibility of drive-train failure as each part has its limits.

The chance of failure is much greater considering the stresses these parts have to endure. Drive-train & turbos arent manufactured to handle that much constant strain beyond its recommended usage.

How can i argue with you Fuzzy...it makes perfect sense...

The above numbers are very attractive and an excellent example of what a 335 can acomplish once properly tuned

This is exellent, hopefully you belive in not rubbing bllod against blood (BMW against BMW) because i dont want to be in your way when you slam this baby with your right foot. She must be a pleasure to drive.Have you had any Audi's or Mercs for breakfast or brunch?

Will give anything for a 335, really thought of borrowing money with my .38 to buy one of these machines. But i'll keep on working for one.
Your car have only two problems, the speedlimit and the cops.

Enjoy!!

Nice going. There is a bit of a event between 5500 and 5600 where it drops around 17whp. Any idea of the cause?

I think it was not happy with the tiny fan and pulled some timing. Doesn't happen on the road. The E46 M3's are MUCH more on this dyno, even with the stock map.

Its a investment of R10,000 max for dyno operators to put decent fans in there dyno rooms. I do not get why they do not do it as they would get far more business. Pretty shitty if you ask me and its noticeable how it effects the rest of the graph.

Look at any BMW's dyno graph there is a dip where the Vanos opens! That is very normal!

Awesome gains there Bud well done

Just out of interest why do you guys market this as the stage 1?

Sorry, I don't quite know how the stages work. Did I say stage 1? It has stock intake and airbox and no cooling mods. So I'm not sure it's full stage 2 yet. But OK, you can call it stage 2 if you want.

Bra you can call it whatever stage you want. In the adverts it says stage one. Which would make software only stage half? Now that's some confusing stuff. By the way what would stage 3 be?

Ok then I will call it stage 1. Software is, software only, no stage.

Stage 2 is normally chip, exhaust, intake. So a car with a downpipe only, is not really a stage 2.

Stage 3 is normally some kind of cooling mod like an intercooler or Water/meth.

Well, that's how the VAG & Opel guys do it. Don't know about the rules. Don't really care actually.
