Sitting in traffic kills my consumption I travel 3.5kms to work 45mins one way in traffic sometimes 380kms per tank..I get the consumption down on a weekend highway run to about 15L..whole week of traffic im up to 18s to 20s again.

Coming down to cost of fuel spent verses buying a cheapie diesel for work.

15-18l / 100 weekly which includes driving it like it should be.. :chef: Open road I have only done one trip to durbs, did not really bother to look at consumption, but I made 700 odd kms IIRC on a tank @ 130km/h GPS cruise control.

Phew thanks, I was worried I was really driving like a mad man. I get about the same, work is only 4km round trip, but I let the car warm up properly then the 5min drive to work. Weekends are just open road drives, but rather hard drives. I love pushing this car, it never gets boring!

Best i got down to DBN was 6.9l just after a carbon clean with just me in the car. the car was factory stock. With FBO i would go from 8.5l to 12l depending on how much eth I use and how heavy my foot was. With the big turbo the best i got was 8.9l but that goes up to 12.1l when i really start putting foot.

I used to do 12km or something into sandton and it would take 45-60 min then I'd be looking at 18-23. Now I go highway and its around 10.

Avoid traffic. Or use manual "stop start"

I dont have the Stop Start function, I have a DCT box, on D I travel between D1 and D2, Will Manual be more lighter? will give it a try. Tx
