my Z4 M - I get 460kms / tank
my E90 330d - 600kms / tank - I blame the auto box.
my old E46 330d was the best I have ever had - everyday driving 900kms / tank and on a long trip 1450kms / tank I want this car back.
Wifes 1,9Tdi - 2 door - 920 kms / tank.

Was this a manual 330d?

Holy petrol tank batman!
How do you guys get away so light? I have 13.0L/100km avg, and if I really really try hard I get 12.9?
That's roughly 50/50 urban/highway.

Same here.

Same here! Close to 450km's to the tank so far. I've only just got the car though so *might* still be flooring it a little too much.

I fill up my 135i to the first click, else they tend to over-fill it. I barely get 400km to a tank. Not sure if the 135i has a smaller tank to the 335i. I assume so?

I am getting just over 7km's to a litre. Not even close to 400km's a tank.

Driving in pretty bad traffic though. Even though only 9km's to work.

Long road is slightly better.

Worst tank: 290 km on 54l = 5,3km/l (track day)
Best: 550km on 55l = 10km/l
Average 450 on 55l = 8,3km/l

my average daily drive is 120km of which 60km is open highway at 6 am (R21) and 60km suburb traffic (hectic sometimes)

I drive as fast as the traffic allows me to drive

i use the cruise control alot, especially on the sections where i know the porkers sit........but my obc shows my average at 8.9 which is a mix of urban/highway driving but in freeflowing traffic... with that in mind, i get over 500km's to the tank

On my E92 335i with Auto I was getting 430 - 480 kms on full tank with 50% town driving and 50% out of town.

On my E93 335i with DCT, I'm getting 550 - 600 kms.

I have noticed fuel consumption improving a lot when I used same tire spec for all four tires.

I think it also makes a difference which brand of fuel u use. I'm not a lover of bp but I get slightly more mileage from bp 95, then I get when I use shell v-power...

@dlk, what tyre pressures are you using on your tyres and what size wheels and tyre's you got on your ride?

+1...BP has been giving me better mileage.

On my E92 with 19", I was using 2.7 front and 3.0 back

On the E93 with 18", I'm running 2.2 front and 2.6 back

Between 11 and 12.5 in town and between 8.5 and 9.5 on freeway cruising at 140km/r
I drive as fast as traffic allows.

Thread resurrection :sorry:

So I've had my E90 N54 335i auto for just over a week now and my consumption is sitting at 14.8l/100km:cry:

I do about 60km daily all in traffic, no freeway. I friggen drive like I am driving Ms Daisy. Either there is something terribly wrong with my driving style and I am driving too slow , or there is something wrong with the car. I can't see how guys are getting under 12.

The car does idle a bit rough when started from cold and if it is warmed up and idling at a traffic light I think I am hearing and feeling a bit of a miss. Think I must check whether the car has been for all the recalls especially the injectors.
