Hey guys,

I am on the lookout for a 335, after having a long hard debate with myself to get either the 135 or the 335 I have decided on the 335.

Now I can't decide if I want to get the sedan or the coupe? I don't care about backseat passengers because they always have a way to damage a car so no more passengers for me!!!

The looks I just can't decide on, the coupe looks amazing but the E90 also has it's aggressive appeal.

And lastly, I have seen normal autos, the manual version and the DCT, I am quite keen on getting a DCT with paddle shift, what what are the pro's and cons of these options?

I am seriously on the lookout for a full kitted 335, nav, pdc, bluetooth, mp3 ect ect ect.

Any advice will be highly appreciated

Year/KM/Mplan is an important factor for DCT.
I wouldn't buy an older car with DCT. If it was a M3 I'd say manual but the turbo cars love autos. If you want it to be as fast as possible, get auto/dct. If you want to smile every time you shift, get the manual.

If the LCI sedan is in your price range, I'd go with that over the coupe.
I hate the pre-lci E90 tail lights so that'd be my last choice.

Dct only available as an option on the coupes, sedans are only auto or manual [THUMBS UP SIGN] good luck with your search

Daily driver?
End up in traffic? Them go for a coupe DCT.
I prefer the looks of the coupe but only with the optional 19's.
if you get the LCI sedan, I would go manual and also put the style 225's, looks so damn good! :inlove:

I must say, manual is epic, absolutely love.
Drive them all!
I have told people before, my 135i was my 20th 135i, had driven 5 335's as well.
Happy hunting squire!

Go for a manual if you're a real driver.

My 335 is a manual and is my wifes daily drive to work in the traffic....the only time you really need to be a 'real' driver is if you can put it sideways....

If you're used auto or manual then that's the choice. I'm used manual and when I drive an auto I get bored and don't like it. But DCT is the best of both worlds.

I think I might go and test drive the DCT and manual, then decide from there on out, most votes where for DCT, making me believe it holds better value due to people preferring them? But on the other hand, I have always preferred manual and the comments above do remind me why.

Okay, how do I determine if the vehicle is LCI? So sedan LCI or coupe?? Also, I whats better, the N54 or N55 and how do I determine that? Most places are idiots and don't know anything about their cars.

Is there also a way to see if the car was fitted with ppk?

@UpNcOmiNg!
clearly you have loads of experience owning these cars, what advice can you give me.

Okay, I used the cool invention called google and found out LCI stand for Life cycle impulse. And lci models are 2009+

So I presume this ine is LCI?

That's normal step-auto. Anything with that gear lever is step auto. Manual is the one that moves around :biglol: DCT will always have that spaceship control module.
The DCT will always hold more value and be easier to resell due to higher demand for auto's. they also are bought and sold at a premium most of the time.
My advice? Drive as many cars as you possibly can. Shop around, approach random people and refresh the autotrader often! LCI,s will always have those lights as seen there on the e90. E92 will have full red lights with all LED's.
also that e90 there is an exclusive model, I'm sure you would prefer the M sport due to the steering wheel and sport seats, Nevermind the aero kit as well.
N55 is always distinguishable by the engine cover, will read "twin-power turbo" as such:
lthis motor will only be available from LATE 2010 onwards. All pppk's will have a small plate on the engine cover that says BMW performance on it.
Oh, and abuse motorplan even if the car has rattles, force their hand to rectify prior to purchase.

+1 also make sure it has the performance steering and stripes , adds allot of power

Thanks man, missed that it's not a m sport model. Will have a look around again.

I am taking it slow and not buying anything without test driving it.

4 door never came out dct, only auto and manual.
The pic above of the 335 is not a sportspack.
If you want a 335 dct, it is only available in a coupe.

Why don't you try get a convertible dct? Best of all worlds in one car.

Also consider a 335 with lower mileage and motorplan just so you can sort any issues out.
