I wouldn't worry too much about the breather. The E90 onwards uses the vortex type that doesn't get blocked. Check my thread and you will see what it looks like stripped. The E46 and E39 however with the loo type needs to either be changed or swapped out with the newer one.

Okay cool thanks! I still need to come let you drive my car. If feels pap to me. Maybe it's just be getting used to the power delivery, but I barely keep up with a G6 GTI. Don't know how I should fare against them stock?

It will feel pap stock, that's normal. When I picked mine up I drove there in my E46 330d (slightly modded) and driving the E90 it felt slow. Software transformed it totally.

Yes a G6 will chow you stock. The Pre LCI E90 330d's stock are slowish.

PM my jou nommer dan kom kuier jy.

Sorry again Ashley, please forgive me :sorry:

I have obtained Calvin's Maxtrac coilovers and will be fitting them this weekend

So we removed the Maxtrac coilies from Calvin's 320d on Tuesday...

And then I waited until Saturday to fit them to my car. I think it looks good, the wheels even look better to me. The rear needs to be spaced out a lot if I decide to just keep these wheels though. On to the pics - I still need to take a side-on shot of the car.

I think I need to raise the fronts a little to match the rear, and make sure they're level. I now have errors coming up on my dash relating tot he tyre pressure monitoring and traction control system.

Comments welcome

The coilovers you fitted, they were designed for the 320d?

That might be why they're a little low on the front as they're not designed for the weight of the big 6 up front :dunno:

Looks good
hows the ride?
Thanks buddy, I'm happy with the purchase. The ride is pretty much what I expected, nice and firm, steering is MUCH sharper, chassis feels more alive, sudden bumps are soaked up without bumping you off the seat, the car isn't unsettled on uneven terrain, I get stuck driving into my driveway if I don't carry momentum lol.

I don't know if the front springs are rated specifically for the 320d, but they feel well sorted to me and the car handles like it's on rails now, not that the handling was less than exceptional before.

I'll just adjust the fronts up a cm or two to get the front sitting level with the rear.
