I got my INPA cable and software... I need to get the right *.prg file so I can read my engine's live data... Flipping frustrating doing diagnostics on these cars, the user interface sucks, and the amount of effort to get the cable up and running is a pain in the arse... The cable looks to be decent quality at least, and I can't fault Zasttra.com for the delivery, it was quick and easy, no fuss.
Setting up the software. What a tedious process... And now I have to search the internet for the right file so the program can read my engine module's data and error codes individually.
I thought maybe my battery is on its way out, but I tested it and it seems fine.
There's supposed to be some kind of diode that changes colour. I see nothing lol. Stupid thing must've broken off.
As is the trend with rides threads these days, I have to post a pic of my car getting alignment done.
Everything was out after installing the coilovers. Toe and camber were the worst affected. I also discovered that the top dampener mountings weren't torqued - I could turn it with my hand :hammerhead: SO that's sorted now at least.
And I also picked up some cheap msport wheels from a bmwfanatics forum member. The rims look good but the paint has started peeling from some or other substance. Will have to strip the paint and redo the rims. That's IF I can stop being lazy lol.
After a half-hearted wash they look decent enough.
I need to get to the bottom of my engine cutting out. It;s doing it more regularly. It's kinda dangerous driving on the highway, then having the engine cut out... I then have to try start the engine, and it just swings. I push the stop/start button to stop the cranking, wait like 2 seconds, and then the car will start normally after pushing the start button...
WTF
Oh, I forgot to mention, my locknut key has gone into hiding... Joy. :skit:
