this thread reminds me of my E46.... just a non-stop load of parts and work to keep it running over the last few years. i'm still positive that one of these days, i would've reached that magical time when most of the car would've been replaced and i can finally relax for a bit. :)

still love the car though..... cant really explain that :coolShake:

Cool, hope its nothing serious. The car looked sweeet with them on :coolShake:
Thanks man! The M-sport springs should still be low enough to not look crap, and then I can have the coilovers checked. The Maxtrac's ride very well, just a pity they've developed this knockin recent times.

Hahaha thanks for the laugh bud! I've been doing thing myself for the last 8 years or so, and it's always worked out better in the end. DIY ftw! Thanks for the kind words!

Hi Spannie,

Big ups for doing all the work yourself.

Thanks for persevering with your car. A lesser man would have quit and sold the car by now.

the e90 330d is truly a great car. I love driving mine, even after 3 years of ownership.. I still get thrills when I put the right foot down. Than 6 cylinder diesel growls, and the turbo sings (ive decatted and removed the first exhaust box)... Its like music to my ears.

Hi there bud, thank you for the kind words! It is an amazing car, just wish mine was better specced.

Update:
Msport springs have been fitted. Car drives softer and the handling hasn't deteriorated. Win. Otherwise the car is still going strong, no sign of trouble.

did you get the coilies looked at? are the maxtrac repairable if anything gives hassles?

Hi there man. I didn't get a chance to have them checked out - sold them to a guy who will send them to Maxtrac to get checked out. Looks like my car is sold anyway, time to return to my home (VW).
