Hey guys, went past GW Edenvale on the way home today and got a brake pad sensor as I replaced the rear brake pads yesterday. It was only R85! Their prices are really good!

Sorry forgot to add:

Spannie, did you try plasti-dip? I painted mine with plasti dip and they came out good:

Another thing you can try is using a hair dryer and heat up the spray can. You don't have to cook it but just make the paint inside a little warm. This makes the paint spray easier. You can also heat the item you are trying to spray so that the paint sticks. Just a thought..

Thanks for the info bud, I'll keep it in mind when I redo the grilles. Plastidip doesn't give that gloss finish I'm after, but I'm thinking that the satin black may just work better like I had on before. My OCD kicks in and I sommer wanna do everything over again :hammerhead:

Haha no worries.. I believe you can spray a gloss finish on the plasti dip but I haven't done that before... Maybe worth a try?

Yes you need the glossifier. Plastidip has gone crazy on their pricing, I see a can is R200 nowadays. So R400 for gloss plastidip... Madness.

So I attended the VWCSA Gymkarting event this past weekend and Team Wulfchip finished second last, it was great fun and I'm sure we would have faired better if we didn't have issues with our cart for the first 45minutes of the race. All good fun and I posted a best time of 1:01.897, 0.723s slower than the fastest lap of the day which was put up by my friend and team mate James. I am a bit broken today, back muscles, arms and legs are a bit worse for wear

I got some pics of my car from SNS, thanks for their coverage of the event it's always great to see them at our events and contributing to the club.

In other news, I had a slow leak on the one M5 rep and Shaheen from The Wheel Shop organised the repair. Glad they could sort out the leak. The car is behaving itself and I'm starting to enjoy owning it again.

Thanks for looking!

Wow. Those grills look nice. How difficult is it to remove the flexidip and gloss compared to plastidip? Want to use it to try something out, but know I will probably mess it up on my first attempt

Mmm, no idea how difficult it would be to remove the stuff, my first try and they look tops.

I would guess with the gloss coat it would be harder to Peel...

Just take your time, avoid runs and all should be fine.

I've always liked Rustoleum paints. How would you rate it against Plastidip? To me it looks like your finish is superior to anything Plastidip I've seen gloss wise.

Much much better than PD.. the texture and finish was already great before I applied the gloss.

Better half liked it so much, I had to shoot one of her mobile phone covers :biglol:

Fantastic thanks man, I'm going to go grab a few cans then. Always hated the Plastidip finish on delicate parts.

Cool, give me a shout if you need a hand...

I must say, it's a days work this, apply and dry, apply and dry... I think I did 5 coats of the Black and 4 of the gloss..

I'm now leaving it a couple of days to harden proper before I install.

That 350z looked slower than I thought. Means that the M5 stands a chance against a car that weighs less and has more power. Go figure.

Thx vir die vids tjom!

Any time buddy!

That 350z was much quicker than I think they should be, your M5 will pull away from it, especially up top.
