With a lump in my throat and a true one too, i said good bye to my Individual, my first BMW, first car to introduce me to the brilliant brand....i was about to sign up for a KIA Cerato, then a Jetta 6, but none of them said hello to me at all. With my little one being born, i am on a cautious financial outlook, so i didnt go up and get myself my 320d F30 Individual....i am saving that for another day....but i did get myself a tractor....

The deal worked sweet, had Jenich assist me with my choice so that i dont do anything stupid as i am new to diesels...this car checked out to be squeeky clean with the following:

- 1 lady owner
- 45 000km on the clock
- Exclusive package (xenons:praise:, USB, PDC, Electric Seats, dimming interior rear-view mirror etc etc etc)
- Automatic Steptronic :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs
- Hi-Fi loudspeaker
- KAKA 16 inch wheels :thumbdo: But DAMN COMFY!!!!!!!! (Perfect for the wife and the little one as the Indi was quite rough suspension at the rear)

Accountant Silver :fencelook: black Dakota bum chums....

Not many photos, was too busy boosting around everywhere that i could. Anybody that can assist me with tips on how to drive this car best to achieve best consumption is welcome to do so...

Congrats bud

Once in a while when I do get exceptional fuel consumption this is what I try:

* Freeway driving - get the speed up to 140kmph and release the accelerator peddle, keeping my foot on it lightly, you'll see the instant consumption gauge drop to the 5L/100km mark  using the cruise control will yield much better results

*City - tend not the rev up unnecessarily and don't take off hard, once you're used to the step-tronic gearbox, it's really easy to make it change at 2000-2500rpm

It's not easy to resist making full use of all that torque :=):

As long as I get under 7l/100km most of the time, Im happy. I could not really care for consumption, I enjoy the car to much. When I do take it easy I get 5.7l/100km in town, city traffic.

Thanks a lot gents!

I wanted a 320d for a while now, I also liked the 330d but alas, I was just hungry for power and finding a neat, 2nd vehicle nowadays is very hard. This one came along, was very well taken care off and driven absolutely slow, car still feels tight compared to all others that I test drove.

So far, I got good consumption on the first day, right now it is a bit bad…but im still learning about it.

Salt was turned  car is awesome, I love the upgrade from the 320i, well worth the money I spent and the sound system somehow seems louder and more deep compared to the Hi-Fi in my pre-facelift(Much more quality)? Any idea why? Even the adjustment for sound is like 10 bars either side rather than 6, Bluetooth is friekin brilliant feature!!

There's a reasonable improvement in the sound system on the LCI, they have better amplifiers

Congrats on he new ride.

I also have a silver 320d LCI.

Unfortunately I also have the crappy rims on, they look poep, but the ride is pretty soft...

I just finished my 1st tank of diesel. Averaged 5.25 liter per 100km

Enjoy!

so T-man and AshG, shall we have a support meeting about those wheels seeing as we all 3 had to deal with them? :biglol:

I am leaning towards that idea, might be good to have a braai stand, whisky and some t-bones to sort that out?
