Chatted to Sherwin... You looking at an approximate increase in power of about 25kw 60nm (on the wheels)

Sounds about right from when I had my 320d.

Feels a lot more on the "bum" dyno. Response from the car after SW is awesome.

Yes!

Remember, DP is not going to yield much increase in power. Maybe a few kw and NM. But nothing to shout about. Its purely to allow the EGT's to escape quicker and the turbo to spool faster.

Thanks Yaseen, tell me does this not put more pressure on the turbo then?

No, by lowering temps and allowing to spool easier, you are helping the turbo. It is like you are giving the turbo a better environment to do what it does, just better.

Today, at mosque I met a friend of mine actually, one of The Wheel Shop brothers who had Sherwin load a file on his 320d a few weeks ago.

His response was "I should have done sw a long time ago"... he also said the car is tail happy very easily especially with him having 19s on the car. Hes not one to dyno and stuff but he says the increase can be felt and noticed even on the lower revs. The car is smoother and more efficient.

I was over joyed at his response. Another happy Xcede client. Well done Sherwin and team. Keep it up.

Hey Guys

I have just read through all this info and it sounds almost too good to be true.:bravo:

3 questions: I have a 2007 320d

Firstly I do roughly 100km a day and would like to know what sort of efficiency gains I'd get? Given I am averaging 6.2L/100Km over the 104000km life of my car. :blab:

Secondly, what stress does it put on the internal components etc I.t.o. Wear & Tear?

Thirdly, what is the pricing for the afore mentioned options?

Hi Jason,

1. Depending on your driving pattern, chances of seeing your consumption go lower than 6.2 are strong. As I said, depending on whether you will be able you restrict yourself from enjoying the added power on demand.

2. Im not certain of the technicalities but Sherwin works his magic and trandforms your stock ecu increments into super powers. With great power comes responsibility. The most important thing is to cater for the extra heat your turbo will generate. Thus, fitting a Downpipe or De-DPF. This will allow the heat of the turbo to escape quicker and which in essence allows for longevity of the turbo.

3. if I remember correctly, currently a special fot Dp and sw @ R5500. Check the xcede specials thread for confirmation.

PS: For more technical answers, contact Sherwin via PM or PM me your contact details and I will get Sherwin to contact you.
