1. Did you replace the actuator?
2. How sure are you about the vacuum lines going to the correct units?

yip all lines are new and going to the right units iam going to take off the turbo again there must be somthing wrong with it settings or somthing must be out :thinking:

Damn was hoping the converter would fix it....might have to take the car to a techy

Hi guys my 320d 2004 model,turbo also give in it is fixed now but these guys didn't put back all the plates there are silver plate andmsmaller black plate can someone please advise?Our exhaust didnt hav cat in and we clean it ,yesterday we drove car and it was just smoke all the oil that we could not get out the mechanic said it will not harm engine?:bs:

sorry mate, i guess this is where remote diagnostics reaches the end of the road.. next would be hands on diagnostics.

but let us know whatever the end result is, it might help us make a more accurate diagnostics for the next guy. hope you get it right and good luck..

ideally you should create your own thread, plus we gonna need some more details, or at least a pic or two of these plate thingies.. if the smoke eventually stopped, its no worries, if it keeps coming there is a serious problem somewhere..

So I found the problem guys my computer went it would open the vacuum actuator but it would not close it again we put a test unit in had to get keys and everything to get her to start but she goes like a dream. The guy I took the car to worked at BMW and has all the tools his starting his own thing form home and he is very good at what he does if any of you guys need a BMW specialist let me know I’ll give you his number . Oh and thanks for all the help guys :clap:

Sending the old one in and getting a refurb part with a 12 month guarantee they need to get the code off mine and put it onto the refurb part
Its going to cost R7500.00 for that. A new one is R15000.00 from BMW
