up aaaaaall the way in jozi.

what you say makes sense, but im into the 330i for the purist of the car , and I have always bought with my heart and not my head....it gotten me into tons of sh!t but when I wasn't in sh!t I was grinning from ear to ear.

the 320d is still in with a shout , depending on what available on the market when i'm buying. it needs to be kitted though, which few of the 320d's are in the spec that I want.

only mods i'll do to the car is add the carbon splitters/mirrors ,boot spoiler , carbon dip the rims and give it a slight drop - she will be a good looking cruiser

this is what is BURNED into my mind - , THIIIIIS is the look what I want, in pre-facelift form though (budget)

When it comes to the E90 MSport (I believe) that's the ideal look. Gives it that MDynamic look. I also wanted to know about this because I was stuck between getting a E46 325ci facelift or an E90, but when I looked at how much I'd pay for a FaceLift E46 325ci I figured I might as well go with a E90. From what I've read on this forum I'm slowly leaning towards a 320d but I'm glad the OP asked this because I'd also like to know which should one really go for.

i went from a Jetta TDI to a E46 330ci.... and i love the 330. Sure the Jetta pulls like a train on lower revs, but the sound and overall experience of a straight 6 just does it for me. Diesels have the low end power, but when you really need to floor it, then its a bit boring (smaller power band etc).

also there are quite a few horror stories i've heard with people buying 2nd hand turbo diesels. most "young" owners tend to mess with fuel maps, ecu's and other nonsense to get more boost/power and you might just inherit the problems from there. infact.. theres a post recently on the 3-series forum about someone who had a problem.

i'd go with the 330i if i were you... less complicated IMO.

good luck!
