downpipe the going rate is between R3500-R4500
remap between R3500-R5000
msot places should charge you no more than R300 for a dyno run.

and Definitely do a dyno run. you can see if you had any abnormal dips in power or torque before or after, and you see what you pay for and quality of the tune, example smooth power curves etc

Placebo will always be there bro, as long as you know someone worked on your car with the aim to increase performance, you will always have placebo. It doesn't matter whether you had a good tuner or bad tuner working on the car.

I agree that a dyno (at a reasonable price of R 300 or so..) should be done before and after. Then you have the facts! It doesn't really matter how calibrated the mashine is but a before and after picture will let you know what the net gain is and thats why we do all this - right?
