Unfortunatly the guy was there to film the M3 & not me

I have gone to about 4 or 5 skidpan days.. I Get there @9 & usually leave when it closes at about 4.. & not once have I damaged my Car...

That video is a lot tamer tan what I have seen on skidpans

Maybe you were watching some non south african skidpans..

This one is tame.. & great fun.. You can even keep your DSC onto DTC and have a bit less fun if you too worried..

If you are careful & Not stupid then you wont go wrong..

and its only 1st & 2nd gears...

Well then, put into manual mode.. 1st gear

cause Spy has auto in gopher.. and it works just the same

But if its a diesel, then auto is better as it should keep it in the right gear for the conditions, juts pop it into sport mode and it should be awesome

You need to arrive at the skid pan about 9am. Meet up with the other fanatics, chat a bit.

When the skid pan opens, you go sign up by paying the R170 sign indemnity form. They give you a sticker and you ready to go.

Then you join the line, and have some fun. Make sure traction control is turned off.

I find that if you put your tire pressure to the same pressure all round, the car becomes more neutral. For my car I put 2.5 all round. But it's not necessary, just make sure your pressures are correct and you will be fine..
