technical 22" (inch) Tyre Sizes

Hi chaps,

Trying to understand what size tyres are ideal on an X chassis with 22" wheels.

Is the following combination suitable?
Rear: 315/35/22
Front: 275/40/22

I know the X-case on the cars dont tolerate much variance.
I dont want rubbing (cue the rubbing jokes) and transfer case jerking.

What do you guys advise?
From my own googling, the research suggests: BMW-approved

275/35 R22 front and
315/30 R22 rear

In all honesty it sounds like you should go with the BMW sizes. If you do want to venture into something different, use wheelcalc and have a look at the circumferences, diameters and % differences of each front to rear. If the %s are the same you should be good to go. You may end up with an unobtanium combo of sizes though (either sizes that don't exist or where they are not available in one brand/tier)
