You mean announce winnerWill update tomorrow
Sounds like a Volvo S60 R-Design/PolestarNeed to clarify my statement...
In 0-100, in perfect road conditions, the Cayman S is marginally quicker.
In slippery conditions, the new car is quicker.
Also, in gear acceleration is better in the new car.
The car is AWD and has 4 doors.
More details to follow next week.
Right now I have these challenges:
- The brakes are 6 piston Brembos and I am trying to get the pads (maybe discs too) replaced before Plan expires soon
- Insurance is R300 more pm vs the Cayman and that is with a heavy maximum excess. Need to phone around.
- There is some paintwork required on the front end that I am pushing to get done as part of the deal.
- I am negotiating with an independent buyer to take my Cayman at a price higher than what I paid.
I need all those stars to align properly. Which should be soon.
The AWD, 4 doors and Brembos are enough of a big clue though...
Shew, he had us. I looked at @schalk320d guess and was also saying WTF.From a Porsche to another Volvo..? You're right, WTF![]()
- 2017 S60 Polestar
- "Engineered by Polestar", not "Optimised by Polestar" (the latter being a software tune, which my V60 CC has)
- 270kw/470Nm
- 35,000km
- One fastidious owner
A long story as to how I got here and how all the stars aligned.
Not an obvious choice and I am sure many of you will be be like "WTF..?"
Full write up to follow.
I will return to Porsche (used 911) one day, but for now this makes sense for my current needs.
Thanks.I am defnitely not in the WTF camp LOL.
This is an epic epic car. Well done and congrats! Wish you many happy miles.
Looks like you need to start a VolvoFanatics site.. Definitely didn't see this coming.
Thanks. 2.0.Congratulations!!
Is this the one with the 3.0 or the newer model 2.0?
Thanks.Pops has a Volvo, really comfy, really nice to be in and the new ones have extremely smooth gearboxes as well.
Definitely less engaging than a cayman (no duh!) But will be an epic long-road car. May you have many comfy miles of travelling!
