Hi guys. Can anyone assist me with guys in Cpt that can replace my aircon evaporator. Someone who knows how to remove dash and centre console without breaking clips . And most importantly, not charge a left lung . Thank you. I am thinking of doing it myself, with all this time I have on my hands. Looks like a big job removing the dash. Thanks.

Ok this is te reason I asked. A friend of mine had the exact same scenario on a VW. In the end it was discovered that there was a leaking conection on the fitting of one of the pipes onto the condenser.

There is usually o rings in these conections. Atleast you know where the leak is. Its not to say its the condensor and could be n leak on a pipe or fitting also. This will have to be confirmed by stripping where the pipes connect to the condensor to see before you confirm its the condensor.

Hope you can follow my advice. Maybe someone can give advice how to gane access to these fittings and confirm the actual leak.

Hi Iceman. Thanks for the advise. Yes,I was thinking of that. But still need to be stripped to see . Labour probably mirror expensive than parts.

Hi Bo$$.

Just a word of caution. I had this replaced on my '08 e90 by BMW while under Mplan. The dash isn't as solid as pre-opening. There are minor squeaks after the replacement and I can slightly move the lot with 2 hands on it. I don't know what level of sympathy BMW used in the process but it is not the same as a friend's e90 that has never been opened. However, you can't live without A/C.
There, my 2c.
