Recently bought and fitted the gloss black grills from bmw so there no more chrome or satin silver anywhere

Looking good mate , those rims are awesome , are you going to keep it silver or have them done in black ? I have the same issue with my M bumper , the gaping air ducts on the side. I had my mechanic customize a mesh grill for the front that covers the radiator, but not the air ducts . Can you let me know how much did BMW charge you ?

Na they staying silver for the time being. One of the biggest reasons for me getting rid of my old rims was due to them being black
I really don't like black rims, They work on some cars but its just a personal preference thing I guess. If I do decide to change them it would be to a high gloss anthracite colour.The big middle mesh/grill from BMW cost a fortune so I hunted all the scrap yards in the southern hemisphere and eventually found one. I wasn't so lucky with the side ones. I managed to get them from BMW for R1.2k but that was after quite a substantial discount! they are actually I think R780 each. Then add the oil cooler air duct and the radiator air duct for another R1.7k if I remember correctly. and that was also with a good discount but I think rather have it all done properly and then at least it looks OEM with zero fitment issues.
Okay thanks , so call it 3K after discount . I usually get a discount from BM dealer as I order parts through them . I'll give them a call and find out .
The rims look awesome on the car, but I must say I dig the black gloss of your old rims , the full black on black looked good .
Like you said though , each to there own , my Z is completely blacked out .

Yes I changed the rings back to the originals because the one xenon bulb is showing a bit of a difference in colour, it's looking a bit green not ice white like the left hand side. I need to organize another bulb and then I will refit but I won't drive around with two different coloured lights :thumbdo:
Unfortunately I was recently retrenched so spending money on a bulb right now is not in my best interest. I am trying to find as much freelance work as I can for now or at least a permanent job so that I can keep my car as I really don't want to give this car up after all that I have spent and done on it. :blueCry: So my current plan is to do everything I can to hang onto this little gem.
