If using a 35% tint on black interior vs a grey/white interior then the black interior will look darker than the other one, can't comment on the windscreen except it will look kak and fudge up your wipers... Lastly, don't tint your sunroof or it will shatter in extreme circumstances, the tint will keep it from expanding and contracting properly..

You say the car has iPod integration? How was it done with the current head it and does the cd shuttle still work?

Ps. Congrats on a great car...

Thanks man. The previous owner had the iPod integration factory fitted. There's no cd shuttle. I think it was replaced by the iPod connection in the glove compartment. I haven't played around with it too much but it works with the older generation iPods and my iPhone. It only doesn't charge my iPhone but charges my 3rd gen iPod video. You basically plug the iPod in and press the scan button. It'll then scan the iPod for playlists and you can select up select up to 6 playlists using the buttons you'd normally use to select CDs or it'll play all the songs that are on the iPod in order or randomly. It doesn't show song names though.

Very nice Bhaiya! Lol... Bread ou...

Please take some pics for us if you can.. Some part numbers will also be great...looking at getting a dice system for mine, maybe that's what you got.. It's the only one that keeps the steering controls working..

Haha thanks Bhaisabh. Sure will do so tonight. My steering controls work with the iPod. I think the ipod unit is behind the dash though so won't be able to get pics of that. The only thing that's exposed is the cable in the cubby. I'll take a pic of the manual though. There should be a part number somewhere in there.

I think this is part:

Thanks guys:thumbs: Got a replacement passengers side mirror from G-Drive, but the clips on the mirror are completely different from the OEM mirror so I'm hoping to have it returned. I went to bmw today and it turns out the original mirror is the same price as the generic that I got from G-Drive:bangdesk: So I went ahead and ordered the OEM one. Anyway lesson learnt, always price bmw parts as they can surprise you at times with their pricing:thumbs:

Had an oil service and full inspection done on Thursday and the mechanic couldn't find a single fault with the car so I'm pretty chuffed about that:rollsmile: Will hopefully get my brakes and disks sorted by next week.

Here is a comparison of the 2 mirrors. As you can see the original mirror has some permanent marks on it. I have no idea how those marks got there.

Damm, annoying that the generic clips are different - hopefully can return. I have spoken to Bruce at G-Drive, seems to be a reasonable guy so should not have a problem taking them back. Very interesting that the OEM parts cost the same. Moral of the story, first check OEM prices before generics...

I've spoken to Bruce this morning. He said I can return it for a refund or exchange for something else:thumbs:

@ Bavs any percentage tint on the windscreen is illegal. But you can get it VPS'd with a clear layer for about R1200 or so. They say it doesn't affect the wipers or anything but I haven't had any personal experience so can't comment.

I actually need to get new mirrors for my Wife's car too - they are starting to get those marks where the glass splits for wider rear view...

R350 from the agents. I wonder what causes those marks.

Thanks AdiS:thumbs: The idea is to try keeping it in the same or better condition than when I got it. It seems like these cars have become the 325iS of the 20th century so to speak:rollsmile: So I plan to keep it original:thumbs:
