Congrats! Beautiful car in excellent condition.

@philip if Bavs is Hindu, that would be the marks from the new car prayers that we do. Will wipe off easy.

It's basically to bless the car and owner:rollsmile: All major components such as the engine, wheels, steering wheel and the car as a whole that ensure your safety from A-B are blessed.

I'm sure the other guys here can elaborate more on the prayers that we do:thumbs:

Ok so just an update. Had my windscreen replaced this past weekend and plastidipped my center console, but I'm not so happy with it so I'll redo it this weekend. Also the tint on the passengers side mirror seems to have some permanent brown marks on it which looks like the heater may have burnt the tint or their is a bit of rust between the mirror and the tint so I've ordered a replacement mirror from G-Drive.

Also ordered a few products from Pravin which should arrive next week for me to do a full detail:joy: Received some awesome advise from Pravin and looking forward to receiving the products:joy:

Booked my car in for an oil service tomorrow and if my disks and pads arrive by today will have those done as well.

I'm also contemplating installing a 35% smash & grab tint and possibly a 75% tint for the windscreen to protect it from stone chips. How do you guys think it'll look? I want it for the safety aspect and to protect the interior and myself from the elements.

Hope the mods won't mind me using this thread as a way to track everything I do on my car, so one day if I decide to sell, the prospective buyer can have a record of everything that I've done.

I did a 35% smash n grab tint for safety reasons as well as to protect the cars interior. Mine came out a little darker than expected, but I actually quite like it with the silver. In general I think its a good idea, really helps to keep the car cool in summer.

And it really does help keep the excess heat radiation from the sun out! Just sit in the car in the sun shining on your arm with the window open and then closed and you will feel the difference!

I don't want something too dark. But the guy that does the tinting said that it'll look good on my car and the next lightest he can get in smash & grab is 50% which he said will be too light. Did you tint your sunroof and back window as well?

That looks pretty cool SP33DYV:thumbs: I've got a sample of the 35% and it doesn't look too dark, but I suppose it's hard to judge until it's on the car. I'll try to get a sample of the 50%. I spend at least 2hours a day in my car and the sun takes a toll on my skin so I need something with sufficient UV protection as well.

Previously I had 35% on my Fiesta, and it was perfect, not too dark. Not sure why this time it came out slightly darker. I tinted allround (except the windscreen as that is illegal), I don;'t have a sunroof.

Possibly the light colour of the car makes it look darker than it actually is?

The sun roof comes tinted from the factory in any case. No need to tint it, it's dark enough.

My previous car was silver as well, but I also think that perhaps its to do with a different car, maybe darker interior..

My Wife's car has 35% tint - definitely not too dark. From what I have heard, in most cases 50% is almost a waste, or not really much different than the standard glass tint.

For some reason I feel like there's quite a bit of heat coming through the sunroof with the visor open:flyfun:

That doesn't look too bad hey. It looks a lot darker on Adis's car:flyfun:
Would a 75% tint be legal on my windscreen? Just for protection from stone chips and some level of protection for my dash.

It's illegal to tint the front windshield and will have absolutely no protection against stone chips as the film is applied from the inside.

Interestingly when we had the cars next to each other and Adrian had already found the tint to be darker than expected, opening the doors and comparing the light coming through virtually looked identical, but from the outside it does look a bit darker. Maybe also the darker interior with the darker roof liner compared to the grey of the Exclusives...

I'll speak to the guy who will do the tinting about that. When I spoke to him yesterday he mentioned something about a 75% tint that you get specially made for the windscreen which is legal and applied on the outside for stone chips. Unless maybe I misunderstood what he said:flyfun:

I think mine will look very much like Adrian's with my black interior and anthracite roof lining.
