That box will be a good R30k to repair should it faill..
Oil is typically 2500 as well as roughly R1500 for filter and gasket (check prices with agents)
If the car has done more than 10 000Km the vanos seals are toast.
Drive it in good health.

Are you talking about when the car goes into limp mode? Is it related to a gearbox problem, indicative of failing in the future? I read that depending on the current state an oil change could cause the box to go sooner....?
