So I take it you sold the new owner of the 323i a motor off a vehicle that you own?Gizmo said:Thank you SylisM.
Manny328cabrio was lucky enough to get my CAI a little while back so thats why there is no air filter present. Car has been parked since selling the CAI.
Yes. My e36 is receiving a s50 so the 2.8 was available and running perfectly. It's low mileage too so perfect for the build.Crazyboi said:So I take it you sold the new owner of the 323i a motor off a vehicle that you own?Gizmo said:Thank you SylisM.

Again.. Outsiders comment after reading all the posts, where I believe one had you saying the engine was "toast" then saying something else when questioned for exact reasons to justify how the engine is toasted.
I could be wrong, but good luck with the new owner, his bill, and your build

What is convenient about buying a car for 75k only to find out later the engine and gearbox are in need of replacement?
I suggest you clutch at straws elsewhere.
You are more than welcome to bring your mechanic of choice past for a compression test on the motor. Let him confirm my results, until then, step off!Crazyboi said:Gizmo said:Crazyboi said:I'm sorry... I don't know both parties, but from an outsiders perspective, that's just too convenient...

It's convenient that he drove his car to a workshop, the mechanic tells him the engine is toasted (gearbox aside), and then the mechanic has his own personal engine (which has been kept aside and isn't in use) on hand to fit into a car.
I gave you my opinion based on what I read... And I wished you, the owner and his bill luck...

Gizmo said:Ok...Tumi has requested this thread be deleted as he just wants to move forward with the build on whatsapp only between him and myself as there is far too much negativity on the forum of late. I'm sorry for the genuine fanatics here who contribute to the forum and follow my build threads as I am getting gatvol with the trash that frequent this forum. They are making the whole forum most unpleasant and it shows in the stats. I wish we had the old forum back, was all about the cars, not the need to throw salt on everything...
Aww....Now yuben is taking all his six plus rep points away from me...shame.:blueCry: Must be those bitter sweet tears of not driving a BMW anymore...:sorry: but that's what you get when you insult a person by lowballing them, stuck with your second choice, a vw. Your pettiness shows no bounds, sad what you have become....You don't see me deleting all my positives on your profile, that's just childish!
