135i Farting

I dont know whats the right term but it sounds like farting to me, is this normal when decelerating ? The car has a performance pack on it ...

Very normal if it is the "gurgle" sound that you hear when downshifting...Its particular to turbo cars...its meant to be a fantastic sound...unless your car is backfiring which is a different issue...:thumbs:

It's manual , no its not backfiring ... It didn't do it at 6000km , went in to BMW for a wiring problem , then started making that sound...

Not so much in 4th, 3rd and 2nd mostly ...

Doesn't sound right to me, but not so clued up and familiar with these X35i's...

If the problem occured after bmw fiddled with wiring then that is the source of the problem...take it in to be checked. :thumbs:

Its common when the car is the cold, do me a favor and let the car warm up and u'll notice the sound is a lot softer

But I agree with Twinz, I love that Sound on my dct

Will take it to a different dealer, they did mess up the power first time we took it in and the gurgle thing started, second time they just fixed the power...

They reloaded the software, they said that sound is normal with the performance exhaust ... car does feel like its got alot more power now ...
