its a 120d coupe with 50000 kms on the clock. I bought the car from BMW.

Take it in and have them check it out, I get about 14.6 km/l avg on my 320D and its the same engine. I have gotten it up to 16 with good driving.

Take it back to BMW and check it out and get a second opinion.
Those figures aren't good.

Yeah my 120d is giving me around the same fuel consumption but I wont lie ibdrive it like a animal but I still get good kilos of a tank....my previous car was a c220 merc with exaust and induction and a messed up airflow meter and I was using almost R200 a day doing about 70km

If you drive it decent tho like long distance or 95km local you should get around 6.5l/100k....drive lika animal and you will get from 7.2-8.3l/100k

I drive my 320d hard...sometimes crazy hard and do a lot of town driving, highest it went to EVER, was 9.1/100km and that was when i was stuck in very bad stop and go traffic with my very heavy right foot...

Hi Guys

I have recently purchesed a 120d coupe. I find the fuel consumption very high. does anyone have some insite as to how many kilometers I should be getting with this diesel motor. I'm currently running at 11.0 KM per 100. Doesnt sound right to me.:thumbdo:

My 06 320d used to average 12.5l/100 which was definitely not right. When driven like a granny in town my 335i returns the same.
