Hi Guys, I'm totally new here, my 1st post in fact, so if this is a duplicate, please don't shoot me. :blab:
I have a 2008 120D with an exhaust from SAC.

What I would like to know is if it is possible to install a dump valve to get that awesome whoosh sound? I know it will not give me any gains but I am after a sporty sound, hence the exhaust.

Can anybody help, Pictures of an install somebody else did would be great as well.

Thanks in advance guys

The only way to do it is to fit an electronically operated dv. I do not recommend this as it does not benefit the car in any way

I stand corrected on the bmw motors however one of my friends wanted to do the same to a 2007 vw 1.9 TDI and the tune shop said there is no butterfly valve in the intake of a diesel so there is no pressure build up to dump. That being said they did do the install with a very faint barely noticeable dump sound.

I was under the assumption that all cars with a turbo can have a dump valve fitted, is this not the case?

get a CD burnt and when you racing open all the windows and wind up the sound :biglol:

You will impress all your mates and you can do a dump even when the engine is off :fencelook:
