118i F20 RaceChip TB Ultimate installed

Hi All,

I have been following this thread for a small while and I took the jump yesterday and got one of these Racechip with Dries. Very nice team they have going and they really took the time to explain everything to me even though I went there after hours.
With regards to the performance all I can say is WOW raise:. I feel like my car has wings hehe. The car pulls noticeably better and by the time my eyes reach the speedometer I am always making more than 100km/h:rollsmile: This is on a F20 125. Quoted figures are 203kw and 396nm after the tune but I will confirm that at the during the KAR dyno day on the 25th.
Dries and Wanti also said that it will get better as it adapts to the car so I will see if I can get even more out of the car by that time.

All in all it seems like I have done a very good purchase

It definitely does. Will post dyno results over the weekend or early next week. I am quite impatient to see what I get :rollsmile:

Went for the dyno today and she pushed a healthly 172wkw and 320nm :rollsmile:
The dyno chart looks a bit weird though, don't know if that's due to an error on the computer while they were dynoing my car. Will put it on another dyno soon and see what happens

47kw and 70nm... Seems a little inflated, is your car a 118i?. Post the graph please.

Their website claims 158kw and 320nms torque. Still very impressive for a 1.6.

hi bud what was the car doing before the chip on the wheels , the graph is a bit up and down in the middle , the curve could be more level . does the car not feel like it surges ? at least you have gained ! on my m135 i its not working :thumbs:

Is your M135i manual? It was probably your thread I read about it not working. But the guys overseas dont seem to have a problem. Could you not have a faulty unit. What does the supplier say?

As per the graph it looks like it would surge right? However it doesn't. Behind the wheel, power delivery is very nice and linear and the car is really faster. I raced a G7 GTI and I always pull away quite easily, and this even when they start going a split second before me.
Like I said the dyno threw some kind of error and as I was in a queue, there was little time to do another run. Didn't dyno it without the chip though, will make sure I do next time.
It's weird that it doesn't work on your car though. Dries told me he had done quite a few m135 with pleasant results

hi bud ive tried 3 different unints (ultimate)with different settings on two differnt cars both m135 i manuals , the most we got on on the dyno was 9wkw . im waiting for Dennis from race chip to get gack to me !

hi bud with 3 race chips most gain was 9wkw
and with jb4 stage 2 most gain with nf 20wkw , im not sure if this is just with the 6mt that there is a problem , but im looking into something different :thumbs:

@Serwill , sorry to burst your bubble but your graph looks like a stock graph , supersprint have a dyno sheet for the 125i and it measures those figures as stock , I have raced stock g7 gti's and pulled away from them same as you have without a chip.
