good quick read,

only thing that confuses me is that the pic #9 i think where they say that the 335i uses a twin turbo l6 then its a pic of a n/a e46 csl??lol

lol to be honest to you i haven't really noticed that :fencelook: was reading the captions more...... but thanks for spotting it :coolShake:

Some mistakes they made in the article. 2002 turbo was never sold with the reverse script, only the Geneva motor show prototype had it. Owners made copies themselves.

The batmobile is the nickname for the factory csl's fitted with the massive rear wing. It was a no-cost option.

The 1972 BMW E25 turbo had an identical engine in the the BMW 2002 turbo codenamed M31, a 2.0 with a KKK turbocharger and a CR of 6.9. No way that thing made 280bhp with that small a turbo. Still cant find the original reports of 280bhp, but I have seen it quotes a few times.

Cool stuff,

however, I will make a correction on the first pic about the roundel representing aircraft props rotating.

The blue and white actually represent the Bavarian heritage, the roundel incorporates the Bavarian flag.

First M car was the 530 MLE, not the M1. M1 was meant to be but was delayed by the Italians faffing at Lamborghini.
