1/4 mile times

There are so many variables to a quarter mile time that it is impossible to calculate the time. Best is to check what the reviews at CAR have to say.

You would require at least the following data.

1. Total weight of car.
2. Power output of engine.
3. Wheel and gearbox losses.
4. Aerodynamic coefficient of car.
5. Current wind direction and speed.
6. Accurate 1/4 mile exit speed.

Then with some math, you may get an approximate answer.

Seems easier to run a timed 1/4 mile, or buy a V Box...:excited:

Dont forget,

7. time to switch gears,
8. power and torque figures throughout the rev range
9. Wheel diameters

Bud only way to calculate 1/4mile time is to take the car to the track! No calculator will take in mind tyre traction, gear ratio , even torque etc.
Even if you get one that works you will need a perfect calibrated dyno and you have to put the car on the scale! For all that effort ill just get someone with a VBOX and put a skip on the thumb sucking!

Or Vbox or Drift Box, will give you a nice Idea (Pretty close) Usualy a couple of 100ths of a second out.

Find a nice quiet flat piece of road, and do it in your own time :)
