F20 120i coolant and oil temperature

Hey,

I have a 120i F20 2017 model (B48 engine) with 81k km on the clock. It's stated to leak coolant, and I have started replacing the leaking parts.

I have been measuring the coolant temp and it goes as high as 115°C but runs between 100°C and 106°C. Will sometimes hit 113°C for a couple seconds and then drop down again. Coolant is normally around 106°C in traffic.

Is this normal or do I have a problem?

I also sometimes smell coolant, but the coolant level doesn't drop. The car is also not burning coolant. I assume it's from the coolant that leaked that has not been washed away. Can this be true?

Also at what temperature should the engine oil run at? I checked quickly and it runs at around 106°C, but just did a quick check.

Please help as I don't want to lose an engine due to coolant leakage.

Coolant around 106/113, if you have not done it, remember to bleed the system when replacing hoses etc.
Oil around 101/105

That sounds about right yeah, remember that different oil grades will also temp with different figures.
Thank you. Just wanted to be sure things are running as they should. With the coolant leak issue known with these B48 engines I dont want to cause damage to the enigne cuz temps are running too high.
