Well done on getting the transfer, sometimes a fresh start, even at the same pay makes a far better impact than just chasing the money aspect.
I have no doubt that this will all be cleared up and make it your own very soon.

All the best for the future man.

Evening everyone

Update: I transferred from the TMPD control room where I've been for many years, to the Armoury, in the position of 2nd in command ( no pay raise but a new adventure).

New office is a mess, was a storage and dump site for broken assets since 2007, so clean-up was started 27 June, and Saturday 29 June my amazing wife helped me from 09:00-16:00 to move out broken crap, scrub the place, and vacuum the carpets 3 times. I had to rip out out light fittings that were falling out, and report to OHS, and on Monday 01 July I occupied the office.
My new pc is actually 5 years old, but working, my email is up and running, and the request for enatis access was sent through today.
There's 3x steel 2 door lockers in the office, and I've managed to clean out 2 of them today, sent a wheelie bin full of paper for recycling dating back to 1997.
There's still a store room as well, 6m x 2.5m big, that's full of crap, will add a pic to show what still is ahead of me to get it 100%.

I'm really happy having struggled for 8 years to get the transfer, and having a boss with a vendetta against me block me, to have the transfer happen, and I'm sure I will make it a great success.

Thanks to everyone I know for the support, and to everyone I've helped in the past, and whom I am still to help, you will know me as someone who still goes by the value of ethics of Protect and Serve, and to go the extra mile to help where I can. I truly believe that I can make a difference, and having my family, both at home and here at bmwfanatics behind me help me every day to strive to better myself.

Enjoy life. Love you all.
Congrats Cois,
Well deserved promotion, all the best in your new position. Thank you for the chats and assistance in all the years of knowing you, you are a stellar gent.

Good day to everyone.

Ok, so cleaning is going on, slow but steady. I am dependent on the person doing our recycling allot to supply me with bins. I have given him 6 Wheelie bins full of paper already. Anyway...

Good news, my Enatis was installed and is up and running as of late yesterday afternoon, so I have already replied all the emails.

Now back to cleaning and sorting out 35 year old filing.

In all honesty, If those files have just laid there for 35 years without being touched or moved I would simply follow the "vat al hierdie k@k en mØer dit weg" rule.

Big respect if you're actually taking time to sort through them all though.

The problem is that someone was putting new paperwork within some of the folders, thus I have to go through it all. VERY time consuming. At least my new boss and I know each other very well, and he isn't laying any pressure on me. In fact he gave me masks for the dust, rubber gloves for my hands and even a hard hat, no idea why LOL

:ROFLMAO: Hard hat for all the concentration maybe? haha

It's good to have safety equipment, you can develop occupational asthma when handling old dusty files so it's good they're considering your health.

Best of luck with it all though 👊

Congratulations on the new role Francois!! Wishing you great success and happiness on this journey.

Whilst cleaning take the time to relabel the items you are keeping to make it your own too.
