Some updates.

Angel eye rings were changed from OE yellowish halogens ones to White LED i ordered from @FiRi@Rennzport. quick response and delivery time and looks to be a quality product.
next up i change the Stop/Start button to red as the original one had a smudge.
also ran into a weird problem last week where the PDC stopped working, i was dreading having to buy a new module, however i realized it was intermittent , the rear PDC triggers when car is in reverse but acts up when putting into drive, i realized it could be one of the sensors that are faulty but decided to rule out the fuse first as this would be the cheapest fix, and waala problem fixed.

So I ran into my first proper issue, as per previous post the PDC stopped working and i changed the fuse, issue was resolved for a couple of days but then started again intermittently , i noticed that when i put the car in reverse the pdc activates and works , however if i put it in drive thereafter the pdc button starts flashing and then stops working even if i put it in reverse again.

I was thinking probably one of the front sensors had gone but after some googling and watching a few YouTube videos i noticed that this is a common problem with the E82s as water fills in behind the wheel arch where the module sits, this made sense to me as the issue only came about after I had the car washed and stuck a pressure hose in the wheel arch.
I went about stripping the rear boot trim and low and behold the module sits in a polystyrene housing and it was quite damp inside.
I removed it, dried it out and put it in a bag of rice for a couple of days but this didn't work , the unit had mold and is most likely kaput.
I was lucky to find a used module with a different part number from an E87 that works perfectly, so i decided to wrap it in plastic and mount it above the initial housing spot, i hope this is a long term solution.

However if anyone knows where i cant get the original pdc module repaired , please let me know.

Looks like the one leg, second from right, on the IC in the foreground, is completely corroded away. A thorough cleaning with IPA and fixing that (and other issues like it) may bring the unit back to life.

Brilliantly clean example. I recently bought an ‘11 135i DCT, also white, but black interior.

I need to re-badge the bootlid as well, and I like that template you used. Was it just a google search that brought it up?

Cheers

Awesome thread, thanks.
I'd love to add PDC to my car if OEM, but having a hard time locating parts. Would you happen to have any contacts etc you could share for where you'd look for essentially all the components I'd need? (Loom, sensors, module, etc)
🙏
