E90 330i unusual idle on cold start

Tappet cover gasket has been replaced.
Solenoids may be the trick, but this issue is really quite minor currently. Will monitor and see how it goes.

It's definitely worth cleaning them as preventative maintenance either way... Those and the "vanos filters"

I have this issue every now and then and can't quite pin it down. It's almost as though the throttle body forgets its adaptation or possibly coming back with a hot engine and the O2 sensors have a set fueling and the next morning during cold start they get very different readings and need to adjust fueling for new temps and atmospheric pressure?

My guess would be a vacuum leak.

My guess would be a vacuum leak.

But vacuum leak is pretty constant and produces erratic idling as the engine hunts?
