The car rarely sees the highway, used mostly for school runs (by the wife)
I'm getting around 10,7-11l/100km 🥲

Anyway to improve this? #AskingForAFriend

Only started tracking this properly recently.

2007 e90 320d

450km roadtrip, quite hilly with a fair amount on "R" roads
According to dashboard 6l / 100 but calculated at 6.83l /100 by filling up before the trip and again after

A question I suppose for those that have answered or will.
What the consensus on dropping into neutral and freewheeling on downhills? Does it assist in conserving fuel?

Coasting 'in gear' with my E90 actually saves fuel according to what is displayed on the screen. I haven't tried dropping into neutral yet.

Hey bud.
This is friggen awesome consumption for urban.
You running on eco?
Also what are your tyre size front and back? I read somewhere that tyre size affects consumption.
Hi

Never use the car in eco as i find it lacks power

Tyres are 245/40/20 fronts and 275/35/20 on the rears

I've tried both and it certainly does consume a bit when you are coasting in neutral. Tried in a manual Corolla.

Very interesting. I have the same tyres but 19's.
Any idea what's your average speed over that mileage?
Mine is about 35km/h based of the on-board computer.

F30 30d when driving like an old lady on a quiet highway at night - low 4's (picture below).

When driving like a total yobbo to hear noisy straight pipe, 11's are pretty normal :ROFLMAO:

If you guys don't mind also stating what fuel you are using please. Curious.

I have been using Sasol 10ppm.

2012 X3 20D

Normal route 96% city driving 9.1L/100KM (lots of robot to robot, short distances driving)

Went to Moz this weekend -7.0L/100 km there , 7.4l/100km back.

i only use Sasol 10ppm

MY previous cars for comparison:
2011 320D Auto
Normal route 96% city driving 8.1L/100KM (lots of robot to robot, short distances driving)

Went to Moz -6.3L/100 km there , 6.6l/100km back.

2007 320D Manual (M47 engine)
Normal route 96% city driving 7.1L/100KM (lots of robot to robot, short distances driving)
Most efficient car i have ever owned. Not sure if the difference between auto and manual is that vast, as well as the map that Tunetech did on the car was perfect, but was efficient as hell.
