So you will run a support race for the 9hr at Kyalami... What is the date for Dec? Have you guys ever considered to do a road trip down to the coast? Between PE & EL we have about 13 or so E36's running in modified saloons. I've always wanted to do a trip to go and race other tracks but the stars has never aligned. This year I'm making a plan...
I would like to but it’s difficult as we between 30 to 40 cars strong at each race. Not easy to get those stars to align, we have even been invited to Mozambique as well. It is on my bucket list, I have been invited by Marais Ellis, one day we will try!!

so we at Kyalami on 3-5 Feb for 9hr
In Oct for MFest exact date to be confirmed
And 2-4 Dec for 9hr again

the Feb 9hr is the one that was postponed from Dec 2021

let me know when you want to join us

To give everyone an update:
  • I have collected the steering rack from refurb
  • Collected the Braided brake lines
    • I will do some pics comparing the old with the new - Unreal
  • Suspension components with poly bushes will be ready next however, I am in Namibia next week so can only collect on the weekend.
  • Prepped the chassis for re-enforcing above the rear sub-frame

From here there is a lot of prep work for powder coating etc.

Oh yes, also managed to get a 330i crank

BOOOMSHAKALAKA!!!!!!!!!

This is no 1. Can't stress this enough. So many guys don't know about this or don't do it when building and sit with issues later down the line. How are you doing yours? I brought the Turner kit in when we built my car but a few guys have made some other plans when doing theirs.

For sure bud. The last thing I want is to go through all of this & then the chassis starts tearing.
I am going to copy the Tuner or Bimmer world plates. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Lets see how it goes

Bliksem! I think I called the same people, also got a verbal R4.5k quote.

I used these guys in Pretoria.

All looks good so far but I guess we will see when its in the car.

Do you guys still run PS on you cars? None of us down here run PS. Makes the car tool light, but I also have to say I have never raced one with PS so can't be sure. Just went with what I was told by the guy who built the car. He's built a lot over the years.

I am used to PS on a race car & given how the road car felt including in road trim, the camber & ride height incl. the semi slick, I am going to leave it.

I think it will be fine.
