E46 325i strong fuel smell

Hi Gents

So lately the the engine bay has a strong fuel smell from cold start up. It fades as the car gets up to temp but is still there. Especially noticeable if the air con is off.

Any members experienced anything similiar?

Myself…

I get a whiff when I fill up. Could be the two gaskets on the petrol tank, under the seats.

you can have a fuel line that is leaking in the engine bay (my E60 did that) or you can have injector seals that are a bit well non functional causing the same issue. Any smoke or hard starting?

Have the car checked out, a strong fuel smell in the engine bay is an indication of a fuel leak.

No smoke or hard starting. From some research I'm learning towards worn injector seals.

1st thing I did was inspect all the lines for leaks but its dry

I'm going to pull the manifold this weekend.
