And going back to original question.

Stock for Stock, Manual vs Manual, both cars driven well.

400M from the line...the V8 M3 is in for a very difficult win.

Yup, those Z4M are quick:praise:

I also rate from the line a Z4 M will take it stock for stock around 400m.

Around a track i highly doubt a Z4 M is faster than an E92 M3.

I dont think altitude in either case makes a difference to these outcomes.

I have a Stock Z4M and have run a E92 M3 but it had AC Exhaust and from what i can tell when we both got of the line together is that 1st and 2nd we about together and in 3rd the V8 starts to pull in-front  and He knows how to drive his M, it was going sideways into 3rd and Manual :praise:

So personally if both M's are healthy and have drivers that know how to peddle them then the V8 will still win the 400M.

I think I might agree there, off the line Z is sweet. but that V8 comes alive about the end of third gear.

Z on the track is awesome...ask Jeromy Clarkson found out first hand against that Corvette.

That M5 board video shows the Z4M getting a bit of a hiding. Like 10 lengths at 250kmh if not more. From what I've seen it should be closer. Within 3-4 lengths going rolling, in favour of the M3.

Standing start I actually don't know, I've yet to see a proper run between these 2 from the line.

I would still give the M3 the advantage for the 400m.

Hi, guys.....I've raced a couple E92 M3's with my Z4 M Roadster. Straight up the Z4 pulls about a half car length ahead with 6MT in both cars, but like it was said before, the gearing has to be perfect. DCT M3 Track Edition made me sweat a bit. Pulled me 3 outta 5 runs. After i did my software and exhaust i dropped it 5 outta 5. Z4M was just fun. Too bad i sold the car in December

I think on a 400m the heavy e9x M3 will not have enough time to catch up with the Z4M.

On a 1km run, I think the odds are in the V8's favour. (only just)
