Yea, even my baby lit up like a X-mas tree... :fencelook:
You drive a few 100 meters and all resets by itself though. :thumb:

Rolf, that could influance the output of the cars performance though can it?? Being on the Dyno I mean??

Yes it could ... if you let it happen! Meaning: We can set the emergency maps to std values and nothing will happen

But it could break your car if there is a real emergency

Let me ask this question ..

Can anyone show me a Z4M that successfully had the RPM limiter raised to above 8k ?

I'm specific to the Z4M as the ECU is different to the 46 M3.

8980? That is pretty stuffing high.

Wjhat work has been done on the engine? I imagine the standard internals cant do that rpm too many times before going pop.

And also I imagine the standard internals will probably have a drop off in power at that rpm? Need to change cams, valves, etc?

Stand to be corrected however

Where, in your experience is a sensible limit?

So one which wont overly stress the engine and will also yield good power?
So if you raise the limit to 8,200 does the power increase also or does it start to drop off after 7,900?

Thanks
