Yowsers.....another year passes and we onto our second year of ownership.

I need to pickup from June 2024

4th June 2024
Annual service done
133,000 kilos

- LM engine Cleaner
- LM 10w60 Oil change
- LM ceratec
- Oem Oil Filter

Found some oil leaking from the diff when we did the exhaust at TMSS. This got progressively more, so I decided to attend to it.

- Diff seal
- Diff oil
- 2 New exhaust gaskets

Attended a few runs and private meets. The joy this car brings is something else. I cannot explain it, one has to simply experience it to understand.

Not an update one ever wants to do, but all in God's plans

On our way to shoot, with right of way at 3 stage traffic light, and a Yaris driver decided to jump a full blown red light. All liquids in the picture are from the Yaris.

Shukr (God kindness) , we were not hurt.
However the Z took damage to the following :
- Bumper
- Passenger fender
- Both headlights
- Edge of bonnet
- Cradle
- Fender liner
- Engine bottom tray

No damage to suspension, engine or chassis.

A long drawn battle with the insurance underwriters took place, whereby they 1st tried to write off the car, and pull it from the panel beater without my knowledge. I suspect some shenanigans was going on.

In Feb/march we finally got settlement, and began ordering parts. Everything is replaced with OEM from BMW.

The panel beater of choice is owned by a Fanatics member, INTERNATIONAL PANEL BEATERS and the service has been great thus far.

We are almost done with the car, and whilst it was there, I opted to strip it and do a full body respray to get it into the condition I always wanted.

We also sorted out seats bottoms which were showing their years in terms of sponge going flat, and redo all the soft touch plastics which peel over time.

I'll post pics of the work carried out as I sort out my gallery

Sorry about this!

Did you run into problems sourcing replacement parts? I thought things like the bumper was NLA?

Sorry to hear this. She will be back in action better than ever

There are definitely shenanigans that come into play when they see the car has some nice things on it... experienced similar in the past.

Yeah bumper was NLA completely, the only used item we fitted was an OEM bumper.

Balance of the items and bolts etc we sourced from BMW brand new. Waiting period was long though.
