Z4M Ownership Costs - Anyone Willing to share?

A buddy has test drove a silver Z4M Roadster and loves it, but needs to evaluate if the maintenance is affordable.

The price list below we got from a BMW Dealer for usual items, Xenon bulbs, DM Flywheel, Clutch, Pads, Discs, plugs etc...

Is anyone willing to share with me their Z4M Ownership costs?

Prices are not that bad, i quoted 25k on a Hyundai H1 bus DM flywheel.

Xenon's are a killer tho.

Umm... That price list might just be dealer cost price if a windshield wiper is 35.98...

My wipers cost me over 600 bucks a set from BMW :thinking:

You dont need to buy items from a dealership everytime!

The only items that seem relevant on that quote are the brakes. Everything else can be had for far cheaper using high quality aftermarket parts.

Your main area of concern is the engine. Without knowing the mileage, consider that valve clearances, vanos and potentially bearings should be done to properly de risk the engine.

It will be as expensive as your M3 to maintain.

Body parts trim and the like will be expensive given the low production numbers.

Most suspension components can be had at 50% of dealer price using Lemforder parts.

Brake discs are basically agents only.

It is a great car no doubt on that

the big thing is the cost of Fuel, the rest is much like running any other HP Vehicle.

BTW I might be interested in selling my baby, 2009 - Black on Black, manual +- 34thou on the clock, no mods to anything mechanical, new battery, she is sitting in the garage doing nothing, maybe its time I moved her onto someone who will appreciate her. No tire kickers or joy riders Im in no rush to sell so offers around R320 thou will be considered. She is like new.
