Thanks guys... there's definitely no desire to enrich the agents so looking for the LUK option for sure it seems!

Thanks Ddoooooooooooooooon! I quite enjoy having a decent girth. Even if I do say so myself....

Not quite engine related .... (maybe need to rethink the thread name)...

But, I am planning for the suspension refresh... is there anything obvious that I am missing in the following list? (indicative prices are OEM, and I may go Lemforder or Meyle)...

Many thanks!

if you getting the wishbone bushes seperatly, you dont need to buy new wishbone rubber mountings.... you can reuse the old mounts, just press out the old bushes and put in the new ones.

I would rather go Powerflex bushes with Bilstein shocks and Oem Lemforder / Meyle Control arms

So time for a bit of an update...

I have been ordering and collecting parts for some time now, and was looking forward to getting to work on the car!

Main parts that I had collected included:
- Clutch kit, and DM Flywheel
- New Bilstein B6 front and rear struts
- New fan and aircon belts
- Various new/fresh suspension parts
- Eventually some new tie ends, stabiliser end links, and new pulley etc were also added

Due to the work travels constantly getting between me and some serious DIY, I had no choice but to look for some trusted support to get some of the maintenance activities done... and because of Clint's brilliant work on the Diff, it was a no-brainer but to entrust him again with my Z!

Clint has been absolutely exceptional once again - showing much love and care for my car, and delivering outstanding work on her yet again!

Clint created a video summarising his work, which is below... but as I get more time, I will add some more detailed pics to the post.

[video=youtube]

I can only gladly recommend Clint and his work, and he is such a fantastic gent, and fastidious in his attention to detail. He also helped get all sorts of parts whilst I was out of town, which was a huge help.

Thanks Clint @johndoe . I am hugely appreciative of your professionalism, patience, advice, going above and beyond in helping out and the excellent work and look forward to the next set of work! ;-)

Great work as always. Good to knows there's still good independent workshops put there.

Thanks Man, it was a pleasure. Your overseas trip gave me ample time to get things done properly at my own pace and I was very pleased with a lot of the parts especially the Bilstein Shocks and the Meyle stuff...

The Video clip gives a very brief understanding of what went down but also tons of details are left out since its impossible to put 40hrs of work into a 1m30sec clip..

by the way.... The car looks great with the CSL wheels... :praise:

:praise: Damn this is top notch stuff! I take my hat off to you Mr @johndoe.

The attention to detail is great and the workshop is so clean, I love it!

Pete the car must feel next level now?

I have been through an update like this. Can hit the wallet hard, but it's rewarding :=):

Some of the rear suspension pics... new Bilstein B6's fitted and replaced the very tired stock (never replaced) (170k km) old shocks...

Then there was the power steering leaks, so had to have this seen to... with new tie ends and fluid...

There was plenty of cleaning needed...

Bleeding of brakes was necessary, as the brake fluid was exceptionally tired and dirty!

Then of course the new belts and pulley...
