Z3 Panel alignment

Hi Guys,

Just had the bonnet on my very low k's '98 Z resprayed along with some repair work to the front bumper (well cover really) to deal with the bruises of 18 years of ownership. I am not happy with the panel alignment and wanted to know if there is anyone in Joburg who is a specialist in panel work on these cars as the bonnet alignment in particular seems difficult.

I have exhausted myself trying to get the people who did the work to sort it out.

The issues are:

1) From the side the panel gap between the bonnet and the side of the car is bigger near the door than at the front.

2) On the corners the bonnet does not completely line up with the flow of the bumper. The bonnet protrudes slightly.

I can do it for you provided you can wait 9 weeks which is my next available slot.

If the bumper cover was not plastic welded I can line it up if it has been plastic welded I will not even try as I know the outcome.

I have asked the PB. It had some damage at the bottom but was not broken at all. Is it likely that it was plastic welded?

PB says not plastic welded.
